12 tags of Christmas tag#6

Hello everyone!

Today I made tag number 6 of the 12 tags of Christmas that Tim Holtz is doing you can find him here http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/ he really creates some beautiful tags. For my tag today I used foil and my tim holtz snowflake embossing folder and then I painted the snowflakes with my paint dabbers once dry I sanded them a bit and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. My ribbon is some seam binding colored in the holiday distress ink festive berries which I pleated and then sewed on. Now the issue I had since I don't have the drill punch (have to buy that) I took one of the fragments and colored it with alcohol inks and I took the snowflake ornament and used alcohol ink on it too but I also used clear embossing powder over top of the ink. Once dry I glued the snowflake to the fragment and added a pearl to the center and added one of the large t.h. pearls. I hope that my pictures do it justice. hahaha.... I love how it turned out!!
Thank you for visiting me today!! And thank you all for the wonderful comments :)

12 tags of Christmas day #4

Hello again! Told ya I'd be back!! Now on this tag I used some tumbled glass distress stain and added some picket fence on top. Then I used the tim holtz embossing folder with the snowman. Ya ever have a moment...I starred at the tag and you really couldn't see the snowman as much as I wanted and then boom it hit me duh... I have the stamp too. So I stamped that on top :) I stamped the pine tress and then I stamped the snowflake and used white embossing powder. With a plain piece of white card stock I embossed with the snowflake folder and distressed with evergreen bough and added rhinestones to the flakes and pearls to the background.
Thanks again for stopping by!

Anyway I thought it would be fun to join in and make a couple. So for this tag I the snowflake folder from T.H. and dry embossed my tag with versa mark ink then I embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used some distress ink in the evergreen bough over that. Then I stamped over the top with the pine tree stamp also using distress ink the pine needle and twig.

HCBC Day 9

I really enjoyed making these gift card holders I couldn't stop at just one. For my first card I used a new die from memory box I got this over at Ellen's :) I took some card stock and dry embossed it with my snowflake embossing folder I used my distress inks chipped sapphire, and faded jeans prior to dry embossing it. Then I stamped over it with my out of print stamp from hero arts I used pearl paint on the stamp and then I sprayed with perfect pearls. The sentiment is from papertrey ink. It just worked perfect :)

On my second card I used this wonderful paper from webbster's pages "Botanical Christmas & Winter Fairy Tales" 6x6 pack. Just beautiful paper. I know addicted to paper........lol.. I also used my tree die from papertrey ink and the sentiment is also from papertrey ink. I think it came out so cute!!! Just say'n :)
Hope your having a great weekend!

HCBC Day 8

Hello everyone,
I really loved the techniques used today. I am such of BIG fan of the distress inks! I just enjoy working with them and they really add so much to a card. For today's card I used a Tim Holtz tree stamp from his holiday set. I used distress inks in faded jeans, chipped sapphire and evergreen bough. But my problem was I do not have the distress stain in picket fence and the ones that I do have are dark so they wouldn't show up. So I used the pearl paint on my stamp and instead of spritzing the stamp itself I did that after the paint dried and directly on the card itself. At first I wasn't sure I would like it but it really does shine and look beautiful in person. Oh and the background stamp I used is from Hero arts "out of print". Then I added twine and two small bells and added the cute tag with papertrey ink stamp "twinkle". I hope you like my card. Thanks for taking a peek :)

HCBC Day 6

Hi Everyone,
This is my card for day 6 of Holiday Card Boot Camp. Today I took my inspiration from Jennifer McGuire's video she created a lovely circle card and I wanted to try it. My paper is from my minds eye (that is the paper behind the doily with little trees) and the branch is from a sizix die. I used some of the holiday distress ink on my branch (evergreen bough) I think I am addicted to that one :) and some sheer shimmer mist in frost from tsukineko. I die cut my doily (from papertrey ink) out of some Tim Holtz idea-ology paper and used some vintage photo on the edges. I took some white seam binding and colored it with my barn door distress stain. I weaved the ribbon in the openings around the doily die. The Noel stamp is also from papertrey ink and I added some rhinestones. I think it came out really nice. I cannot remember the last time I made a circle card or if I have ever made one.......hahahaha...I hope you like it and again thanks for stopping by today.
