Yay it's finished!!

I finally finished my canvas from my Inspiration Showcase class with Jennifer McGuire. So fun!! I actually took this picture about a week ago. I still need to hang it in my craft room and once I do that I will take another picture. This class was a BLAST!! Jennifer really knows her stuff. I have been a fan of hers for years, so anytime I see that she is doing another class I sign up immediately!! This canvas is made up of several techniques that we can use on our cards or scrapbook pages. Love that.........

Thanks for stopping by today!!! :)

World Cardmaking Day 2011

Hi everyone, yesterday if you didn't know it was World Cardmaking Day!! So many blog hops so many great cards and such inspiration. I have made a few for different challenges. This first card is for over at http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com/
The challenge is to make a Thank you Card and actually send it out to someone!
My next card I made is for the OWH http://www.owhhomefrontblog.org/2011/10/happy-world-cardmaking-day.html The image is a digi freebie from Meljen http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.com/2011/10/owh-world-cardmaking-day-blog-hop.html
What a cute reindeer! I colored him with copic markers.

My next couple of cards I made for over at the classroom http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2011/09/2011-world-card-making-day-challenge-blog-candy.html My first card is for the sketch challenge

I love how this card came out I took plain cardstock and stamped my hero arts out of print stamp with pearl paint and did a paint resist and then I cut them to 1-1/2 inch squares. I wrapped some twine around them. I used my doily die and my small dies in the middle. Added the butterfly's and the small tag.

My next card I made is also for over at the classroom http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/  this one is for the inchie challenge.

I had to do a Christmas card. I actually couldn't wait. I had all kinds of new goodies just waiting to be used. I colored my image with copic markers and some spica pens too, for a bit of glitter. I used my new papertrey sentiment. I love that reindeer ribbon I picked up at Michaels!
I hope everyone had as much fun as I did this weekend being busy making cards and just relaxing!! Thanks again for stopping by.

Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop: Photo Inspiration

Happy Sunday!! What a gorgeous day :) I decided to join in on this challenge today.
We have another amazing inspirational photo for you this month that we just know will bring out the very best in your creativity!  Look closely and there are so many directions to go in!  You can choose to focus on the colors, the stripes, or the repetition.  We look forward to seeing your creations! http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/

I loved all the colors in the photo but I chose not to use all of the colors. So I layered them and then added my sentiment along with my ice cream cone :) love that die. Of course since I only decided to this today I had to think quick. I hope you like my card. Thank you for stopping by.

SCC week 4

Oh my this is the last week of summer card camp!! I have had a wonderful time. Learned new things and lucky to have two great card makers as our teachers. I am going to miss it and I sure hope they do this again next year!!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I have to tell you that today I had this great idea for my card I just received my new stamp set from Lawn fawn called "plus one" adorable you can see their stamps here http://www.lawnfawn.com/. The paper I used today is basic grey hopscotch so cute. I paper pieced both the stork and the carriage. I used my spellbinders circle die and cut a small one out. Then I distressed it with broken china (leaving the circle die on my paper) I misted that with perfect pearls. I also used my papertrey die for the cloud and added pearls. I hope you like it as much as I do!! :) very happy... btw love this weeks colors!
