Day #5 of a Cut Above

Hi there everyone,
Today is other than paper die cutting. So I went with the ribbon technique on my birds the large bird is from memory box and the small bird is from my favorite things. I used various scraps of ribbon and I made it more of a shabby card. I stamped the background with a hero arts stamp of a tree and my sentiment is from my favorite things. Love this idea!! Had so much fun making this card. :) :)

Thank you for popping in!! Have a creative kind of day.

Day #4 of a Cut Above

Hi everyone!
Today's lesson was partial die cutting and I have to say never done it before. This card took me a couple of tries. I didn't give up and finally got one I thought came out ok. I used a memory box butterfly die. and a papertrey ink butterfly die. I stamped the two large butterfly's with black archival ink and colored them using perfect pearls as watercolor. The smaller ones I stamped using distress ink. I have to try this technique again. Thank you for stopping by today.

Day #3 of a Cut Above!

Hello Everyone!
Well I made my cards but I was so busy cleaning my craft room today ...... let's just say it took me over 5 hours to straighten it out. For some reason I cannot work when it gets too messy. Any who.....here is my card for day three. Shaped cards is the theme. I really learned a lot in this class I don't make too many shaped cards but now that I know how I will. I used some purple cardstock and my spell binders die along with some paper from my minds eye. I stamped my image using distress markers. A little dusty concord distress ink around the edges. :)

Thanks for visiting today.

Day #2 ~~ A Cut Above

 Hi Everybody!!
In class today it's all about window cards. So I decided to make my card with a spellbinders flower die. The paper is from My minds eye (honey cake). I also used white ribbon with my strip of paper under it and cut out some embellishments from My favorite things using foil paper. My sentiment is from Papertrey-ink.
Hope you having a great day!! I love this time of year........

A cut above Day #1

Hello everyone!!

My new class has started :) Yay!! Jennifer has information on it over at her blog http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/ So today is my card for day one a simple card using die cut images. I used a Tim Holtz die for the large flower and for the small flower I used a die from Papertrey ink flower die #12. I cut the small flower using ribbon and then stamped on it. My sentiment is also papertrey ink. I used a boarder die for the bottom I think that one is from my favorite things. It was a simple card to make too!! Oh and I added some of the Tim Holtz tissue tape to the top edge.

Easter Cards

Hi there,
I have made a bunch of Easter cards. They have been mailed out thank goodness but I made sure I took pictures before sending. I was thinking this time!! I used some of the new techniques I learned in the class I took with T!M. It was so informative he is really a great teacher. Here are my cards. Thanks for stopping by today and have a creative day!!
Love memory box dies! This bird is so cute.

On this card I used distress ink with perfect pearls over it and it gives it a nice shimmer.

Oh my gosh I love this stamp so cute. I used perfect pearls like watercolors and I love how it came out!

For this card I used versa mark and clear embossing powder over printed paper and then I used my distress ink. Purty.....
